Dunkin’ plans 24 restaurants for Austin, Texas

Advertisement Dunkin' Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with new franchise group, Coffee Action West LLC, for 21 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants and three Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination units in the Austin, Texas, Metro Area. Coffee Action West also has acquired an existing Dunkin' Donuts corporate restaurant in Round Rock and a second in Austin. Its first new restaurant in the market is slated to open in early 2013 in Cedar Park, Texas, a Northwest suburb of Austin. Coffee Action West is made up of partners including former University of Texas football player Colt McCoy and QSR industry veteran Dale Mulvey. "We are excited to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence in the Austin Metro Area and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said Mulvey in a press release. "We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the years to come." The Austin Metro Area market is no longer available for franchise sales, though development opportunities remain throughout Texas remain in the eastern, southern and western parts of the state. Dunkin' Donuts has aligned its strategy to support the growth opportunities and consumer needs of individual markets to drive expansion.
