Advertisement Hurricane Sandy has caused severe damage to the infrastructure of New Jersey, affecting the power supply to Puratos Corp.'s Pennsauken and Cherry Hill production facilities and offices as a result. Power has been restored to the Pennsauken facility where production of all wet goods is underway and catching up with orders. The Cherry Hill facility, where dry blends are produced, is still without power and has limited access by road. The company is working with the local power company to restore power. "The Puratos crisis committee is also in regular contact within the luitenant governor's office to explore resolution options. Our number one priority is to limit the effects of this standstill and resume production as quickly as possible," Karel Zimmermann, president of Puratos USA and regional director for North America, said in a statement. |
