At least 41 people in 20 states have fallen ill in an outbreak of Salmonella Bredeney linked to Trader Joe's Valencia Creamy Salted Peanut Butter made by Sunland, Inc. in Portales, NM. Of those ill, 28 percent have been hospitalized and 63 percent are children under the age of 10, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The case count has risen by 3 since last reported, with one new case each in New York, North Carolina and Virginia.
