Advertisement Buddy Valastro, star of TLC's "Cake Boss," has signed a lease to open a second location of Carlo's Bakery in Ridgewood, N.J., according to NorthJersey.com. The bakery will feature an open kitchen where customers can order birthday cakes and watch them being made at a "cake bar." It also will include a party room for celebrations. Valastro says he is aiming to open the 3,300-sq.-ft. bakery in November, according to NorthJersey.com. A selection of cakes, pastries, cookies and cupcakes will be sold at Carlo's, most of them baked on the premises, though Valastro says some, like the fancier cakes, will be made at the facility in Jersey City, which opened last year. Read about the Jersey City production facility. Prices will be the same as at the Hoboken location, and the new location will maintain the Old World-style products and feel of the original Carlo's Bakery, according to the article. |
